Dr. Dan Siegel (Clinical Professor of Psychiatry @UCLA School of Medicine)
Dr. Siegel is a clinical professor of psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine and the founding co-director of the Mindful Awareness Research Center at UCLA. He is also the Executive Director of the Mindsight Institute which focuses on the development of mindsight, which teaches insight, empathy, and integration in individuals, families and communities. Dr. Siegel has published extensively for both the professional and lay audiences. His four New York Times bestsellers are: Mind: A Journey to the Heart of Being Human, Brainstorm: The Power and Purpose of the Teenage Brain, and two books with Tina Payne Bryson, Ph.D: The Whole-Brain Child and No-Drama Discipline. His other books include: The Developing Mind (2nd Ed.), The Pocket Guide to Interpersonal Neurobiology, Mindsight, The Mindful Brain, The Mindful Therapist, The Yes Brain (also with Tina Payne Bryson, Ph.D), and his upcoming book Aware (2018).

Michele Chaban MSW/RSW PhD (Founder and Former Program Director, Applied Mindfulness Meditation Certificate Program @University of Toronto)
Michele Chaban MSW, RSW (Toronto), PhD.( Wales) began integrating mindfulness and mindfulness meditation into oncology and end of life care over 24 years ago, before mindfulness and mindfulness meditation was as well known as it is today. Her first mentors were Sogyal Rinpoche, HH The Dalai Lama, Dr Herbert Benson (Harvard Mind Body Institute). Michele introduced these practice to individuals and families as a form of non-pharma pain management, stress reduction and to enhance well being. She had some of the first mindfulness meditation groups at the University of Toronto when she was the Director of the Psycho-social-spiritual team for Tammy Latner’s Center for Palliative Care. Michele is the Founder and former Co-Director of the Applied Mindfulness Meditation program at the School of Continuing Studies, University of Toronto.

Michael Apollo RP (Program Lead, Mindfulness Certificate Programs @University of Toronto)
Michael Apollo is an expert in workplace mindfulness and a sought after public speaker on resilience, performance and leadership. Michael has worked with leaders within the Canadian Parliament, University Health Network, Bell, Rotman Executive Program, and with professional athletes within the Canadian/US Olympic Teams and American Hockey League. He is Founder and President of Mindful Gateway and Program Lead of Mindfulness certificate programs at the School of Continuing Studies University of Toronto. Michael has held executive and leadership roles in technology and academic settings and has worked with hundreds of organizations delivering and researching workplace mindfulness training programs. Michael has played a considerable role in advancing mindfulness in Canadian healthcare, education, tech and business sectors by founding Canada’s premiere professional mindfulness conference, A Mindful Society, and serving as Founding Member of the Parliamentary Mindfulness Advisory Group.
